unpopular essays by bertrand russell
my last book of 2017 that spilled over to 2018. unpopular essays is a compilation of compositions that covered a wide range of topics, from religion to pacifism, all from the view point of one of the greatest exponent of liberalism. i must say i agree with most of them, except for the parts concerning racism and imperialism, it is a disgrace that it is treated as a non issue during the periods of the two world wars.
russell is mostly ahead of his time, he sounds like a feminist by modern standards. to think that a lot of men in 2018 still think women are a byproduct of men's rib, they really have no excuse to carry on this false belief when russell had already advocated equality between the sexes back in the 1920's.
